A Poem

Even with, the dark streets
being as they are,
the cherry blossoms will still fall.
Just wait for daylight.

That streetlight means back to the concrete
Dirty bottom but connects every feet
Night in sodom but the vampires dont come deep
They live inside the porcelain box over the concrete sheep
only to suck the marrow reach down from the keep
Long fingers scratch the cornea and no one sleeps

Even when they cut out my eyes and wear them
theyll never see
Hot blood hardens likes PVC
Youll never look like me
What I make you cant eat
Wear the mask with pussies for eyes and white face
youre a fucking a fake

They make the space between them heavy like oncology
Their air meaning like epistemology
My space falls through the topology
Fuck your philosophy
Cult of ideology
me always pyrology

Appreciation Day

I.

Yeah lets move that blood clot over here. We got the room for it just put in under the overpass. Let's sit down with Mary and Shelly. They live in the bubble along with everyone else. I know they like to walk and shout at the ghosts that live in the concrete. It makes them feel real good. Fuck that cop's looking at me. Today is appreciation day. We are allowed to appreciate and feel real good. We don't get hurt. It's not allowed. Today is appreciation day and Mary and Shelly scream so loud. They make things change. Just last week they flooded the gardens with brine and the bodies got buoyant. It's appreciation day and I'm tired. Let's move the blood clots home. I miss the gardens. The gardens were pretty but Mary and Shelly know best. Someone's watching me. On appreciation day we eat a lot of food but that's what we do every day. On appreciation day, Mary and Shelly give me rubber and sugar. The sugar makes me float and the blood turn white. The car takes us home then we all take a bath. Usually the brine doesn't sting as much. Mary and Shelly aren't angry now. They smile and make bread for appreciation day. Some day I'll be just like them. I eat more sugar for my head.

II.

Every appreciation day my wife and I attend the protest. She always has a great time. We feel connected to the people around us. I love the feeling of accomplishment after such a long day. Today was no different. I love seeing the children and young people fight for what's right!

III.

Jim just got back from vacation. Jim likes to relax. It's appreciation day and Jim sits at home having a drink. He didn't use to like the brine but he doesn't care now. Jim likes to watch the ghosts move the radiation back and forth. Jim laughs at the ghosts. He thinks they are funny. Jim works and gets paid like his mother. They laugh at the ghosts together. The radiation is bright. Its appreciation day and Jim thinks he's a ghost. Everyone can be a ghost. Jim likes to eat. Jim did not pour the concrete over his garden. That was someone else. Its appreciation day and Jim takes a walk. The police watch Jim. They don't say hello. Jim takes his daughter to the protest. They yell at the ghosts who live in the concrete. Jim's face is mad. Jim has talks to the radiation. He knows to be mad. Jim goes home.

Appreciation day is here class. I wrote a poem for you just for today.
Apples are tasty
Pretend they are candy!
Put one in your mouth
Ripe ones taste the best
Everyone! Lets dance!
Call all your friends!
Ian, Leah, and Ben!
After a good promenade
Time for lemonade
In the fridge is where to look
On the middle shelf you'll find a book
Now its time to learn
Don be hasty and wait your turn
All the children shout hurray
Yell because today is today!

The blood clots came back. We are all together but they must go. I can smell their faces. They want me dead. Today is appreciation day and everyone must scream. Blood clots like hoses but thankfully the police came and they turned the valve and then, finally they don't deserve it, the water dried up. Today is appreciation day and I'm heading out. I am going to protest. I have made my message. Surely they don't like to be screamed at. The ghosts that live in the concrete will let me in because I have made my message. My message is right. If I was a ghost. Yeah take this road you cant miss it. If I was a ghost I would change it. I need to eat. I am upset but the protest will make me feel good. I fight so hard. I am a hard worker. What I do is, is that I pour the yoke on the paper and then you can see whats wrong. Its all about the yoke. The yoke makes shapes and then you know whats wrong. My friends understand. They squeeze fruit and their shapes look like mine. They understand. Its appreciation day and I poured lots of yoke. I am happy.

Jimmy likes to pour bees in his ears. They sound good. They let him think. The bees are loud. Its appreciation day and Jimmy wanted to cross the street. They knew his head. They watched Jimmy's faces. They knew his head well. They waited. Jimmy wanted to cross the street. The bees were loud. Too loud for Jimmy to notice them. Jimmy's head needed sugar. But it was too late. They decided to show Jimmy his head. There's so much in it. So many blood clots. The sugar could've fixed that. But it was too late. Its appreciation day and Jimmy got shown his head. The ghosts who live in the concrete did not decide this. They did not pour the concrete over Jimmy's garden. They told him, if he didn't like sugar, he should have been more thirsty. The police do not say hello.

VII.

James does not like appreciation day. Jimmy's head was like James. James wants to stop the river. The river makes the food. The river makes the accordion breathe. The accordion plays the notes. The notes make everyone scream. James does not care about that. Today is appreciation day and James will stop the river. James wants the hose back. James wants the police to say hello. James wants the ghosts in the concrete to be silent. Without the radiation the blood clots multiply. James was born with his head. James never moved his blood clots. The river built James' house. James does not care about that. The river gives them control. Today is appreciation day and James will stop the river.

VIII.

Do these cells give me authority. Yes. Do they represent me. Yes. Can I make these decisions for them. Yes. They scream and drink brine. They cannot decide. Yes. These cells can melt the concrete. These cells can pour yoke. These cells can stop the river. Without them I have no will. Those without will only scream. Yes. Those who scream live in a snare. Yes. It does not cut their legs. They can leave. Yes. Only these cells have left. Only these cells can stop the river. Today is appreciation day and I will stop the river.

IX.

The river is yellow. The source is long forgotten. The machines melt the snow and let it run. Those who scream have forgotten how. This is where the river ends. The bubble will crack. James pours the brine. James melts the concrete. James watches the salt burn. The copper turns green. The river has stopped. James does not have his hose. But he will not need one. Those who scream became silent. The bubble broke. The rain replaced the brine. The ghosts died inside their concrete. The gardens began to grow. Those cells moved. Those blood clots multiplied.
